Our Approach

In support of the State of Hawaii’s 100% renewable energy law, Blue Ocean has provided civil subconsulting support services for various photovoltaic solar farm projects throughout Hawaii.

Scope ranges from planning and feasibility studies to pre-conceptual and design, permitting, and construction phases. Civil site development features include grading, drainage, flood studies, and temporary and permanent stormwater quality measures to support the facility improvements.

Generally situated on large challenging parcels, the solar farm sites require collaborative solutions to unique project and site constraints (like access and remoteness, steep slopes, drainageways, or historical/cultural resources).
